Relaxing Your Heart and Body with Sweet Potatoes

Hello everyone, I am Japan Culinary Institute (JCI) !

Today, I would like to introduce a taste of autumn: sweet potatoes.

In Japan, sweet potatoes are a staple autumn vegetable.

It is very popular because of its dusty texture and sweetness.

It can be baked and eaten as "Yaki-imo" or added to rice to make sweet potato rice.

And it is also indispensable for Japanese sweets.

It is also used to make "Daigaimo" (deep-fried sweet potato with sweet and salty sauce), "Hoshi-imo" (dried sweet potato), and "Manjuu" (Japanese sweet bun).

Many recipes using sweet potatoes as an autumn delicacy appear at JCI as well.

How do you cook sweet potatoes in your country?

We invite you to compare them with their Japanese counterparts!
